Six Muslim men have been jailed for the violent murder of 20-year-old Bradley Gledhill in an alleyway.

Usman Karolia, his brother Ahmed Karolia, Raja Nawaz, Nabeel Naseer, Irfan Hussain and Nikash Hussain.

On June 21, 2020, Bradley Gledhill was stabbed, kicked and stamped on before being left to “literally bleed to death in the street” in the vicious attack in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Two of his friends were also stabbed during the incident, which started after the Muslim gang came across the three friends walking through an alleyway.

At 10 pm, Bradley Gledhill and his two friends, Kasey Hall and Joel Ramsden, entered the alleyway.

They were then approached by the six violent Muslim men who demanded to know what they were doing in their area.

The Muslim men became violent and the three victims fled, but Bradley was cornered and caught in the town’s Park Croft cul-de-sac.

He was pinned down as the Muslim attackers took turns to stab, punch and stamp on him.

In an audio clip played at Leeds Crown Court, the attackers could be heard bragging about their actions.

Residents alerted by the commotion tried to save Bradley, but he was pronounced dead at Leeds General Infirmary at 11:18 pm.

Usman Karolia, his brother Ahmed Karolia, Raja Nawaz, Nabeel Naseer, Irfan Hussain and Nikash Hussain were all convicted of his murder.

The two brothers, Naseer and Irfan Hussain were also convicted of attempted murder.

Mr Justice Kerr told the men:

“You thought nothing of killing him in the open air in public.

“A young child was watching. You thought nothing of the unending pain of Bradley Gledhill’s family.”

Usman had brought the knife to the scene and used it to stab the three victims.

Ahmed helped “immobilise” one victim as others attacked him and later launched a “casual, vicious kick” to Bradley’s head.

Irfan, who was 16 at the time, kicked and stamped on Bradley before gesturing and bragging about it.

Naseer played a lesser role in the incident but showed a “callous absence of remorse” and concealed evidence at his home.

Nikash “rushed out in pursuit” of Bradley, kicked him twice in the head and threw his phone down a drain.

In a statement, Bradley’s mother Kelly Hubbard said her family has been handed a life sentence as they try to come to terms with his loss.

She said that her son has been “robbed of his life and of a future” and that no mother should have to bury their child.

She added: “It goes against human nature.”

Bradley’s younger sister Bryony added that her family’s lives are “like a jigsaw puzzle with one piece missing”.
