Police constable representing Essex Police mocks Falklands war hero.

PC Jonathan Martin has not been reprimanded and remains on duty.

Falklands veteran Simon Weston has been cruelly mocked on Facebook by PC Jonathan Martina.

The officer made a joke of Simon’s horrific facial burns with the made-up quote: “I’ve brought out my own Mean Lean Grilling Machine! It’s so good, I put my face on it to endorse it — Simon Weston.”

Dad-of-three Simon was left scarred for life in an Argentine bomb attack in June 1982.

On Facebook, married PC Jonathan Martin who has nine years’ service with Essex Police and is based in Southend describes his job as “rosser/filth/pig/bacon/plod”.

He adds: “I have to deal with human bacteria all day. Thus I loathe and despise humankind.”

Another mock quote from “Michael Barrymore” refers to the 2001 death of builder Stuart Lubbock in the entertainer’s pool by asking: “Fancy a swim?”

Businessman Graham Dilliway, 35, who alerted Simon Weston to the post, said: “After I complained, the profile was taken down.”
